Boombox

"Boombox" is a continuation of the Back to Basics series, featuring iconic retro devices from the 1980s, carefully handcrafted entirely from paper.

The bold colors along with the many details highlight the energy pulsed by the original Boombox. Skillfully crafted to the millimeter using paper only, the numerous buttons, graphic elements and paper layers bring the device to life.

The sculpture plays with a sense of nostalgia while remaining firmly rooted in the present. The obsolescence of the object raises questions about our relentless pursuit of technological progress, and the enduring appeal of iconic classics that continue to resurface through the ever-changing cycle of trends.
